Day 7 - Walk the Walk 2020 - Walking ... walking ... walking

 Welcome to Day 7 ...  Today, was a day full of walking.   Today, we walked over 14 miles  (32.787 Steps), most of our walk today was on a sidewalk along the road but toward the end we jumped into the road for the last two miles or so.  It is when we are in the road that traffic slows, there is more enthusiasm and excitement from us and also the folks driving by.  I have to say that the folks along our road today were mostly positive (honking affirmation).  I wanted to share a few photos from today with a little narration!  This is a photo of a group of young children who were cheering us along the way.  We don't know how they heard about us but there they were, waiting for  us along our route.  It was so endearing!  I've been taking photos of different places of worship along the way.  This one was under construction.  I didn't notice the building going up until it was too late (the walkers were going at a good ...

Walk the Walk Journey Day 5 of Walking - For most

 Day 5  I returned from being away two days as I had to return to Westminster to handle some items that I obligated myself.  Last evening, I preached at Emory Grove Camp Meeting, it a sort of long story but mostly I was excited about my daughter Brittany Rachin and our Organist Peggy who performed "The Green Cathedral."  Here is a Facebook link to the song if your interested in checking it out!  https://www.facebook.com/malcolm.stranathan/videos/10222732473970719/    For me this was the highlight of last evening.   This morning was greeted by a new day of walking.  Walking isn't so exciting.  Except it was nice walking with Jacki most of the morning (Thanks Linda N. for the photo!)   Mostly the time is spent carrying signs, and waving them as we walk.  We get a lot more honks of affirmation than we do the finger waving or hollering things out their windows most of which were unrecognizable which was probably good (exc...
